Kirch Developmental Services Center is the primary clinical program of the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. We provide services to children with developmental delays and disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and intellectual disability.
Our team works closely with families, Primary Care Providers, Early Intervention and school programs, and other community agencies. We provide evaluation of children who are suspected of having a disability. When children are known to have a disability, we provide specialized health care, We monitor each child's progress; paying extra attention to health and behavior challenges that go along with each disability. Expert teams treat children for certain health problems like spasticity and growth problems. Our behavioral team provides programs to address the needs of children with developmental delays and challenging behavior. We provide information and referral as well as resources to families to help them get the right services or support in their community.
