PARENT SUPPORT & EDUCATION GROUP
Parents and family members of people with developmental disabilities have the opportunity to come together for support, resources, and information sharing. Parent groups offer networking and support, and education through scheduled presenters that focus on a variety of topics.
Parent Support Groups meet two Saturdays per month from 9-11am at the Wolf Life Transitions Center, 860 Hard Road, Webster, NY

Family Education and Training provides training classes to families who have a loved one under the age of 18 with disabilities. Each session helps families: Enhance decision-making capacity of the family unit, provide orientation about the nature and impact of developmental disabilities upon your loved one and you, and inform families about CDS services.
Family Education Training Sessions are offered one to two times per month at CDS' Wolf Life Transitions Center.
CDS Sib Shops:
A unique program developed by CDS, “Sib Shops” addresses the importance of peer support and education for siblings of people living with developmental disabilities. Siblings have the opportunity to learn and share through fun activities in a relaxed environment. This group meets for ten sessions per year at CDS' Wolf Life Transitions Center in Webster. The group meets two Saturdays per month from 10:00 am - noon. Sibshops Group will be held for Siblings age 6-13 years old
Autism Skill Building:
This program is designed to help individuals with Autism increase their skill development. Participants work on increasing their socialization skills, handling their own emotions, and recognizing stress while developing techniques to cope with stress. The program offers great opportunities for peer interaction & support and is open to children ages 6-16. The group meets Monday- Friday for two hours after school.
